Sukarma Thareja Biography
Dr Sukarma Rani Thareja is an Associate Professor(Retired) of chemistry from, Christ Church College, CSJM Kanpur university, Kanpur, UP, India. She did Ph.D Chemistry from IIT-K, India. She is passionate about poetry art, science. She has teaching and research experience of several years. Her works has been published in National/International conferences/Journal. In order to inculcate personal and creative interests in students she engages them in summarizing lectures after finishing a chapter in their own words and their own ways. On her part, to make students enjoy attending classes(academic or co curricular) and inspiring her visual learners she composes small poems, educational collages to introduce /recapitulate her lessons and general topics useful for students. This way students have an opportunity to combine chemistry/subject information with their personal reactions. The poem/ educational collage listed below is her humble effort to make co curricular /academic activities popular among visual learners/masses which otherwise could be monologue. Woman is Future of World
I am proud to be female
I remember when I was a child small,
While coming back from school,
Sometime I will get drenched in rain,
My mother will comfort me,
By massaging my feet again,
And again with mustard oil warm.
Very often, foodI will refuse to take,
When food at home is not of my taste,
My motherwill cook food again,
According to my taste for my sake.
When I grew up, I went,
To hostel and studied abroad,
I had problem with food taste,
Mother! Mother! I searched,
But alas all in vain.
I have grown and accepted adulthood,
I eat all most all foods,
I realised soon, my mother ,
Can not bepresent everywhere,
I am happy
I have one dear mother
I am worried when I willGROW old
I may not loose that onemother.
Up to my surprise for my male friends,
Some time his sister, girlfriend act mother,
As they grow and cross adult hood,
Wife act as mother,
I observe closely and found,
In old age sometimehis daughter,
Will act as mother,
Wow how lucky they are,
I am happyfor them,
There is some one at least,
Who is more fortunatethan me,
To get more than one mother.
Woman is future of world,
