Signs Of Rain

What does one do
When the eyes start to shut
Heat starts to rush
Into the room, but
Not to leave
When the days start to last
Longer, and the nights
Go slower still
What does one do?
When you feel dark under the lights
All the songs have been played
When nothing's left to See
When your being starts to shrink
Back under the shells
What does one do
When the skies don't change
The winds are not to be heard
The leaves have all dried up, fallen
Its quiet all over but
A hawk in the sky, screech
I have nothing to feed the soul
But this bland recurring bleak
What does one hope
When there's none left,
It's June already
But no signs of rain
