I hear the trees creaking old with age
And I think to myself
Am I on a shelf?

What a thought it is
That we hide our faces when we cry
Shouldn’t be ashamed
Shouldn’t be hesitant

What a feeling it is to be proud
To tip toe on the faint line between arrogance and accomplishment
To wonder if it is by your own efforts
Or Grand design

He knows
Every hair on my head
And its number
Yet I am concerned
...

I'm lost in a sea
of darkness
and you are my only light
I wait and wait
...

Thirst
Drink
Destitution
Reparation
...

Pain will sound
deeply, boldly, and deafeningly
from every corner of your being;
Which is why it is absolutely detrimental
...

We are creatures.
Ruled by love,
tarnished by pain,
and polished by others.
