Syed Ibrahim Poems

A fallen twig I am
Who does care.
Walk over me and I'll be buried
And the land be left bare.
...

O wind, I feel thy pleasure
Upon my face when you pass by
Why not show yourself
Why are thou so shy

Carry Me Away

A fallen twig I am
Who does care.
Walk over me and I'll be buried
And the land be left bare.
So like me you will end
And be buried in the depths of the ground.
Just like me you will be trodden
And will never be found.
The end will catch you at any rate
And bury you in its arms.
The men will die and so will rise
But I don't have a chance.
But once gone men can never stand
The ones buried in the earth.
The men's soul departs into the end
Then takes a new birth
But what saves me
What gives me a chance to live
Maybe the mysterious thing over the seas
Maybe a chance he can give
Just like as they say
The mysterious thing at the bay
The thing which blows everything in its way
The wind…. Will carry me away
Over the seas, over the valleys
To a new land of happiness
Over the tides, over the ocean
Away from all the sadness
The wind…. Will carry me away
The wind will carry me away….

Syed i like your poem and the way it marries the image of nature, the wind and the spritual.
