Forced To Grow Up

Normal and cold December day
Time passes. Haven’t seen him up.
That’s odd.
Wake up! Come on! Come on! Please
Warm skin, pale white skin.
Eyes closed. No movement. No pulse.
What do I do
Help! 911
Time passes and there are too many people
Overwhelmed and confused.
Pounding head, such a hard pound.
Like a hammer hitting full speed,
Non-stop
Still surrounded by people
I see distraught, shock, and cold wet tears
In everyone’s face.
When. How. Did this actually just happen.
Why me. Guilt.
Guilt takes over my whole mind and body.
First dad. Now my brother.
My best friend.
I am forever changed.
