Terry Ward Poems

Unknown
Dark and dismal starts the day, The crowds don't mind they're on their way, to stand and watch the troops arrive, the lucky ones are still alive.
most of them we will not see, we cherish them with a memory. displays of honour will be shown, for fallen heroes most unknown, crowds arrive and show they care, the fallen heroes are not there,
as time moves on our heroes pass, they dwell in heaven memories last.

The soldiers march all tall and proud, with sadness as they pass the crowds. all of our soldiers fall in line For brothers gone and missed through time. Show you care and make it known, that these great people aren't alone
The poppy is our lucky charm, to remember why we're free from harm.
The heroes some who gave their life, gave us freedom we have no strife.
The time is here to show you care, so remember them in a little prayer.
our soldiers gone forever more, gave this country for all to adore
The time has come to make a stand, as brothers fought to save our land. they haven't marched in wind and rain, to lose our country once again.
The lives they gave to set us free, were not in vain for you and me.
They gave because they cared for you, so make it known that you care too. respect is never ever bought, its something that the soldiers taught.
To love your country as they've shown, they gave their life for those unknown.
