Crescent Moon

Above the freshened floors
Above the tainted trees
Above the runty roofs
Above the tall towers
Above the dulled gulls and jiffy jets
Above the violent, silent Earth
The crescent stares.

It stares,
Staring away and observing,
Observing away and judging,
Judging away and watching,
Watching away.

White and gray it stays
Counting upon the passing days
White and gray it stays
Fading away...
