Thinking In Grey

Thinking In Grey Poems

Sticks and stones, twigs and rocks may brake my bones,
But life without them I can not picture.
Day by day, chore by chore I come closer to the day when YOU will end it all,
And yet to you I'm not even a feature.
...

The way you carry yourself with dignity,
The way you smile when you’re happy,
The way you can see into my very depths,
The way your auburn hair falls and feels,
...

Like the petals upon a dying rose I know the end is near
An invitation she never did receive, a gracious host I have always been
No surprise then as I welcome her with no fear
...

When The End Is Always A (Foot) Step Away

Sticks and stones, twigs and rocks may brake my bones,
But life without them I can not picture.
Day by day, chore by chore I come closer to the day when YOU will end it all,
And yet to you I'm not even a feature.

Trample and stomp, life by life you carelessly remove those around me
Notice you never do, remorse you never show, for the sons & daughters you have untimeously left devoid of life.
Nike or Jimmy Choe, Timbaland or Sandal the dust you throw in my face remains the same.

Clank clank, stomp stomp, the sound of approaching footsteps resonates a deadly fear.
Oh, anthill where art thou? This ant still got a molehill of work to do...
Oh, there art thee-my shelter, my breath, my livelihood.
