Like worn-out clothes their bodies char
Fires from the frightful suckling barrels
Give them the glorious, gracious garlands

When Winter comes, witty Nature
Its beauties and glories evacuates
And for a while till March vacates
So, its fairness Winter won't puncture.

Which has a more contentful bank
I once in my mind thought,
Each with its strength fought
Till both at night went blank.

They shoulder all the world's woes,
They are the symbols of pains,
They reflect from their heads to toes,
Suffering and penury in plain.
