The Masked Pain.

She hid the pain, behind her smile.
Noone had ever seen her like this in a while.
With bruises on her face and arms,
She couldn’t stop feeling like she belonged on a farm.
She got her packed lunch out, and she ate away,
A small ham sandwich that had been left there for more than a day.
She grabbed her lunch and her blouse,
Off she went back to the house.
She wish she was back in the school,
Where noone made her out to be a fool.
That night the neighbours heard screams,
The poor little girl wasn’t having bad dreams.
The morning after there were police ...
