Lost Love

Our love seemed so perfect
Too good to be true
Now all but memories
Memories of me and you

Just trying to forget now
To clear up my mind
For it's the best thing to do
To leave you far behind

But it's easier said than done
Cause you're still in my heart
And torn up from deep inside
I really don't want us to part

I wanna feel true love again
Not just misery and pain
And work on our relationship
Or would it be just in vain

Would it be just like before
Would there always be a fight
And constant fear of breaking up
Would we have to make it right

I never thought it to be true
A love so deep inside
Neither the pain it brought me
For which I really had to fight

But it was all worth it
Cause you were the one I had
But gone now, left alone
It all makes me oh so sad

For I let my heart fall for you
The one I ever loved so much
Your eyes, your smile, your kiss
Even your ever so gentle touch

I just want certainty
Cause now I'm torn apart
Can we still be together
Can we make a fresh start

If you'd see me, you would agree
I'm a mess, depression nearby
Would it be the beginning
Or a forever goodbye?

It's best for me to leave you

But isn't that the irony
