Homerun

I pick up the bat
Step into the box
The pitcher steps on the mound fixing his hat
The ball is pitched and comes like a ball of fire
I think back To hitting in the yard in the back
My bat has been hot
I hit his fire ball because my bat is too hot
I watch the ball go over the fence
Hitting the stands behind left field fence
I round the bases step by step
Hearing the cheer as I take each step
I think back to the past
To play and have a blast
