Reflection Of A Deranged World

Does anyone remember what its like to be a kid
The shows were great, the food was free, and sleeps all we ever did
If I could go back to the time when I was just a boy
Id burn everything my mom bought me made out of corduroy
When star wars games and Lincoln logs were more than just a fad
The only person u thought was cool had to be your dad
When paying bills and having kids just wasn’t on your mind
When popsicles and freeze pops could be had of any kind
The days when you'll look back and say yeah those were the best
Are the only ones where you aren’t judged if you take a public rest
The oven and the microwave were off limits and unsafe
The playroom and the den were totally the place
If only there was some way to travel back in time
Maybe live those days again just one more special time
And get to see the world again through unsuspecting eyes
Before all the world does turn to Hell and everybody dies.
