Grace To The Humble

Grace to the Humble

An attitude within him
A sense of worth and ability overwhelms him
He can make things work all by himself
He sees no need for help
He is all in
But sometimes
Things crop up that he cannot possibly find a solution
He fails to look up to the Divine
And keeps struggling
Pulling strings here and there
But nothing seems to work out
He puts in a lot of effort day in day out
He loses sleep
All in a bid to find a solution to his problems
But his gain is not commensurate with his effort
Until he comes to the end of himself
He admits he needs help
Then he decides to put in trust in someone
One who is able to do all things
Who has everyone and all things at His beck and call
He who is rich in all ability
And before he knows
Just like that,
He begins to do things with ease
He puts in a little effort and gains so much
He has an unusual peace
He finally came up with this conclusion
‘When we put our trust in God
We are admitting our in abilities
This an act of humility
And as we humble ourselves under His might hand
He takes up our business as His own
He takes our weaknesses and gives us His strength
He lifts our burdens and gives us rest
He releases grace which causes us to cease from all our struggles
God’s grace is available to the humble.'
