The Tree At The Center Of Questionable Attraction
THE TREE AT THE CENTRE OF QUESTIONABLE ATTRACTION
There was a certain tree at the middle of a field,
Lonely, tall, and narrow,
Flapping its leaves from top to bottom,
As though they were clothes.
Surrounded by healthier looking trees,
Broader, firmer, taller,
With green leaves,
Top, middle and at its base,
Its yellowish, rotten leaves could not be hidden.
There was a certain tree at the middle of the field.
Tall, lonely, narrow
As the sun shone on it.
A tall pillar of cement stood beside it,
With connecting black wires,
Lines and spaces apart,
The middle, tall, narrow tree, slightly bent,
With earth mould by its side,
probably constructed by an Insect or a bird,
It is indeed a tree
At the center of questionable attraction,
An embodiement of Loneliness,
Sadness engraved on it,
Like a tree that never took the opportunity
To become all that it intended to be,
Like a tree outshone by other trees,
Like a tree that had no opportunity to become all that it needed to be.
