Sitting In The Dark

Sitting in the dark waiting for the mind to concentrate on pleasant

thoughts

The mind that is frantically searching for it but without success

The eyes that are staring aimlessly at the white wall

The ears that are blocking the voices that are piercing the brain



The light that appears seems surreal

The voice that he hears is to him so dear

She should not be very far so let me be prepared

To kneel to her feet and beg to be forgiven



She smiles from afar and she is rushing toward him

His knees are buckling and is fighting hard for not to give in

He looks to her face and finds her beauty to be intact

She is stroking his hair and gently caresses his face



The boy has found her peaceful smile

He immediately asks her for forgiveness and understanding

She embraces him and he immediately feels loved and secured

She holds his face with both her hands and she notices tears in his

eyes ready to be dropped



The noise in the room is getting very loud

He looks around for a friendly face and a smile

The room looks empty and loneliness sets in

The man gets up and his eyes are wide opened and dry

His face is pale and his mortality will soon play a role on his

dream becoming a reality
