Tracey Kay Poems

Why is it that my day´s impressed
By tender thoughts so comely dressed?
Flutters of soaring butterflies
Awakened by your sweet replies
...

Trace your lips upon my skin
Fingertips caressing light
Hearts are pounding, pulses spin.
Evidence of love´s delight.
...

An ocean taunts our sweet hello
Relentless is the ebb and flow
A turmoil in the depths below
Yet I belong to you

Misunderstandings

Why is it that my day´s impressed
By tender thoughts so comely dressed?
Flutters of soaring butterflies
Awakened by your sweet replies

Yet a single careless word or thought
Can pierce a heart that´s raw and taut.
Convinced that I have been sincere
Yet troubled by a conscience clear

The distance weaves its twisted web
Where waves of disillusion ebb
Still floundering to work things out
I´m stretched upon a rack of doubt

A word from you can lay to rest
This heavy weight inside my breast
So soothe away this gentle ache
Forgive an absent soul´s mistake.
