twilight by the river Poems

A blinding flash of white light
Lit up the sky over Gaza tonight
People running for cover
Not knowing whether they're dead or alive
...

Blurry vision in a stormy night
Wondering what to do right
Where did i lose my peace of mind
That i'm craving so hard to find
...

Yesterday was the last chapter of my life
I cut my soul open with a knife
To set my sorrow free
But along the way i lost the key
...

The past frightens me
The future scares me
And the present.....
What about the present?
...

I was lost
Inside the sunshine
Joining the dots together
Hoping to find the right shape
...

Come, come my love
Dive in my veins,
Hide under my skin.
Come, be my destruction,
...

As lights fade out
let's start our magical dance
Let's get lost in our jungle
And taste the sweet nectar of our inner beasts
...

you wake up in the morning
and find all your dreams are all over the place
and you can't keep up the pace
you keep running after the train
...

Somewhere in the distant forest
Between life and death
I lied there waiting.
The wind knew my name
...

Sitting in the corner of darkness
Seeing the light but not moving
Finding the exit but in vain
The despair caught me
...

Between love and despair
All the interim is merely air
Twins both are
And from our lives arent that far!
...

Searching in the remains of me
Of any existing memory
But darkness has filled the spaces
And i lost all familiar faces
...

Not my bones but my hopes,
Not my tears but my spirit,
You bruised that night.
My eye is blue and i'm out of clues
...

***we Will Not Go Down Tonight***

A blinding flash of white light
Lit up the sky over Gaza tonight
People running for cover
Not knowing whether they're dead or alive

They came with their tanks and their planes
With ravaging fiery flames
And nothing remains
Just a voice rising up in the smoky haze

We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight

Women and children alike
Murdered and massacred night after night
While the so-called leaders of countries afar
Debated on who's wrong or right

But their powerless words were in vain
And the bombs fell down like acid rain
But through the tears and the blood and the pain
You can still hear that voice through the smoky haze

We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight

We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die

We will not go down
In the night, without a fight

We will not go down
In Gaza tonight
