give her a carton of cold beer.

and later on, a bit of wine.
A bunch of rare exotic flowers
to brighten up the evening hours.

The buy their cards and all the crap
like chocolates from the Swiss
and truffles from Liège

I sit on my verandah sipping wine,
I am saddened that I have no Valentine.
You see I love a Kookaburra (true)
cannot recall whereto the Kookaburra flew.
