Valentino Ferro Poems

There's something oblivious through my wooden floor
penetrating the tiles, spelling them wrong
As I walk on my sorrow I'll smash that old door
your scent is the name of a mysterious song
...

'Cause the first-person-plural advantage
is a benefit that hurts sometimes
is time better spent
is what you don't want to invent
...

I'm the guy who lives upstairs
I'm not funny, I'm not fair
I'm not smart, I'm not pretty
I'm not brilliant, I'm not witty
...

Your multi-colored universe
has got no room for blue
I've always found it interesting
but do you?
...

When nobody likes you
the world can be such a good place to live in

When nobody likes you
...

Some words that I use
are thoughts that I lose
lines, patterns, but loose.

Washing Machine

There's something oblivious through my wooden floor
penetrating the tiles, spelling them wrong
As I walk on my sorrow I'll smash that old door
your scent is the name of a mysterious song

Bemused by that time we decided to go
you descended on me as the weirdest malaise
As torn as I am there is something I know
I could be the worst, but your odds can raise

I could go on forever but I'll never be that good
Disastrous premises can not going to end well
We tried to be better, we were not in the mood
I keep thinking of this as they're ringing the bell

In the house where I live there's a washing machine
it's quite old and not fancy but damn' if it works
I wish I could fit in so I could come clean
but I've been deprived of such perks

In the dream that I had I was handsome and clever
and I was always giving checkmate
but I woke up and I couldn't find a rhyme for 'never'
there's no win if you play against fate.
