Vampire Lakota Poems

My dreams fall around me,
I reach for them.
But they are out of reach.
...

I dreamed of us,
Together forever.
You broke my heart,
It broke my soul.
...

You say this freedom,
I can do what I want.
Then why do you yell when
I don't do what you want?

Your kiss
Brings me much bliss
I can't explain this feeling
So light, so alive.

5.

They stroke my cheek
Move down my face
I try to hold them back
But they come anyways

Dreams fall away
You left me alone
I have lost all faith
Why did you do this to me?
...

I try so hard to feel something
But nothings there
I try to hold on
But its not tangible
...

11.

My mind has gone blank
I don't know what to say
I think I have sank
In the big black bay

Broken Dreams

My dreams fall around me,
I reach for them.
But they are out of reach.

The mistakes surround me,
The suffocate me.
I watch each one,
Wishing them away.

Tears fall down my face,
I hang my head in shame.
I ask myself this question:
Why did I let myself go?
