Your body it’s moving next to mine.
I can feel you with me; we aren’t moving apart, but rather, together.
Your taste could consume me, it’s minty and beer and man and sweat and thismoment all rolled into one.

She asked me today, “Why doesn’t he love me? ”
I didn’t have an answer.
It was hard to look at her in her sadness.
She’s beautiful, she is. Why can’t he see that?
He doesn’t see a lot of things.

Let’s talk about the setting first;
just you and I, in a crowded room.
Our eyes are meeting right now, again
Then we’re lost in a frenzy of polite
and decent conversation that does nothing
for the turmoil of my feelings.

Everyone knows the feeling
You’re surrounded by the world,
And yet you walk alone.
I know this feeling; I thrive on this feeling.

We do not cry from sadness, or anger.
We do not wither when strong winds come.
W do not falter underneath an evil sun.
We do not break when hit with steel.
