To Hunt...Then To Hold

Life's golden circle - the sun - it's out
It's telling me...warning me 'Do not come out'
Until it recedes beyond the divider
I'll begin the prowl, my senses will find her.

Her warm, seductive eyes, killer curves - I can handle
But her delicious aroma...I'm finding unbearable
One taste, one sip, could I cross the line?
In the name of the father, the son...
...You fool! You're out of your mind!

You know no holy prayer is a source of protection
Your little black heart forbids you ascension
She now knows what I am and it's drawing her in
She ignores the danger signs...she continues to sin.

She plays with my weakness
Knowing I'll struggle to resist
Then she whispers to me....
'I want the Death Kiss'.

To be like me, a creature of the night
Should I take this up and end her life?
Too long I've walked alone, in need of a companion
I realise she's not asking...her tone - it's demanding!

The chase is up and now she's surrendered
As a stealthy predator, I am utterly offended!
But to take an angel and rip off her wings
One of Gods creations...it's exhilarating!

She stretches out her neck without a fight
I curl back my lips and prepare to bite
The moment I have longed for has finally come
I grip on tight...mesmerised by her internal drum.

I savour the moment, my one and only chance to taste
For soon she will become part of the immortal race
One's decision to make you eternally mine
Close your eyes now darling...all we have is time.
