Dawn Of A New Age

The evil days are nigh,
Perilous times has dawned on us,
How dreadful it will be,
The dawn of a new age.

From time immemorial we have waited
We have been told of this age to come
By our fathers,
And our fathers by their fathers,
And our fathers fathers by their fore fathers.

How we have listened with awe and wonder,
A magnificent tale it was,
A tale of a time,
When the city will burn in flames of war,
When with every victory, this evil will grow.
The earth shall smell of fear,
And the air will smell of death,
Revenge will be at its peak,
It will be a time of mourning in all the earth.

Terrorism will be the oder of the day,
Like grass and shrubs,
Men shall whither,
With the scorching sun, burning their very skin,
The children will wail,
The old will weep,
And the young shall groan.
They will know pain in every sense of it.

Still this evil will grow,
It shall become the casual,
men shall seek its face,
And others shall be cast adrift.

And then a time will come,
When men shall feel their age,
They shall walk on air,
They shall be elated,
They shall see a new hope,
A new laughter,
A new song,
A new vision,
And a new beginning.
They shall no more perish,
For with them lies a new horizon.
