The Poor Vendor Boy

Wondering in the train and selling his toy,
I encountered with that vendor boy.
vociferating everywhere in a sarcastic way,
he peddles his items there everyday.
hawking bare-footed, his shirt is greasy.
His pants nasty and his hair are bushy.
His face gone grey, his body is meagre,
holding mammoth burden on his zero figure.
caprice in eyes with an obstinacy in his voice,
that poor fellow has no other choice.

Why his life is deprived of fun,
why he awakes daily before that sun.
Why he doesn't survive like other,
why those scathing illness, attack only his mother.
why his land is mortgaged somewhere,
Why his kins consider him a tare.

He too has a family, an amiable mother,
some nubile sisters and an undernourished brother.
He doesn't remember any day or date,
as he is too much busy, in combating with his fate.
that penniless boy never celebrates his birth,
as he badly struggles on this earth.
