IN THE END

i have made a fool
...

we joke about how
fire gets a snake hissing
and how you can't discern it
from a shrew's hiss
...

**THROUGH THE LENS**

a balmy breeze glides the west
crows circle prey deep in the sky

In The End

IN THE END

i have made a fool
of myself
by contradicting
myself
over and over
i have not changed
i have not been limitless
as i thought to be
and my life has been a lie
and would forever be
because
im surrounded
with a mind of the past
and that of the future
but never of the present
i have become a butterfly
in my mother's tears
and a cocoon
in my father's fears
and there is none that can relate to this
because there is none
like me
there is no night darker
than my face
there is alone vagueness
and the oblivion of a billion possibilities
with limited time
and space
no matter the strings
we pull
we would remain the same
forever
like a well in a bucket
we would be trapped in our dreams
and there
we would be trepid and still
like a pregnant snake
we would be our history
and my history
would dissolve gradually
as time goes
like salt does
in water
my culture
tradition and religion
would end with me
in my grave
and all i did or tried to do
would matter no more
because
i would be gone for good.
