William Baez Poems

Delighting in the dark and damp places
Where young ones avoid and the older find solace in.
Where broken hearts feel right at home.
And the sunshine avoids the area.
...

Perhaps another time my love
I am in need of rest.
When linked bodies rise to best
and our infused souls soar above.
...

Sometimes I need your smile,
but I like it when you cry.

It reminds me of us, of then.
...

4.

Could I for one day, do everything that is right?
Like wake in the silent hours, still starved for light.
And by my free choice, dress and shower for the day.
Smiling, laughing; ready to work at my say.
...

I just can't seem to do it, the words won't come to me
like they used to.
I used to open them up, in a letter, nice and fancy, with a gold stamp. Always signed 'from your creativity, all the best'.
And I'd just humbly write down whatever creativity had in mind for me today.
...

I'd love to see through new eyes one day.
And live out a day as someone else.
Would I be kinder or smarter to the people I meet?
Would I be more cunning and colder to them instead?
...

My darling, did you not know?
To me,
You are the whole forest not merely a tree.
Not merely one among many.
...

8.

You are the betterment of my worst self.
When the prisoner is closed in on himself.
When he opens his eyes and stares into the night,
it is you who whispers 'close them.'
...

Bring me hope on its silvery iridescent platter.
And I will throw the gems to reveal scratches.
Throw me into the sea of joy, warm and pleasing.
I will begin drowning under its unbearable weight.
...

I sought you out in spring
But you wandered in winter.
I then cut down all the flowers,
I gave up all my power.
...

Torn between the rose and the lily.
The delicate lily seems sweet,
but the rose is just as fair.
...

My sincerest.
Most deepest apology I send to you now.
From a place of deep, dark regrets.
I am sorry.
...

The skeleton's heart
Is construed from the ashes of ruined dreams.
It beats, ever so faintly,
But its rhythm passes on, like a lazy summer breeze.
...

In trees of dying leaves and fading weeds.
Before the creatures retreat into an annual slumber.
Rests the tale of two,
Who lies in love and kindness but, alas,
...

I know you don't want it
I know the connections not there.
I'm crazy about you, and you
Merely find me crazy.

The Best Poem Of William Baez

You're An Artist At Heart

Delighting in the dark and damp places
Where young ones avoid and the older find solace in.
Where broken hearts feel right at home.
And the sunshine avoids the area.
And the fading smoke chokes this crying poet alone.
Surcease of tears, surcease of hugs,
Lives the shadow.
Between the tender kiss of love
And the warming gentle hug,
Lives the shadow.
And oh how the shadow has reared himself a throne.

While the busy world grinds on unnoticing of his oasis of solitude.

And he looks on at the rushing sea of this world,
Not caring for its magnitude.
Never knowing its loves,
Could not take from the same joys,
Nor shed tears at the same sorrows.
And the world passes on
While his thoughts prance on.
Into a nothing fantasy of nothing real
Of nothing to ever be.
