Points On My Poetic Licence
I'd like to apologise to you
In the hopes of getting my license renewed
For when I was quite rude in a Haiku
It was wrong and even at the time I knew
Actually first
If it helps me get reimbursed
I'm sorry for when I curse in blank verse
Or even when I'm mean in accordance with a rhyme scheme,
And for the time I said uncle Sam
Had done unspeakable things to a man
From Vietnam
I was just playing of stoked fire
I hope you understand,
Oh and I've also spoken words in spoken word
That would sound absurdly hurtful in church
About a man that's in a hearse today,
I hope that doesn't away in anyway
Sway your decision when hence
You choose to renew my poetic licence,
And yes I was accosted
when I lost it
And called a man a posh prick
Through the means of an acrostic,
And I did put a load
Of slurs into and ode
I wrote and spoke
To a lady I could call a bloated toad,
But I won't,
And I won't write it on her bonnet
Or say it in sonnet form,
Give me a second chance before I crash and burn like comets fall,
I clearly had poor guidance,
Cos I have too many points of my poetic licence.
