A Piece Of Truth

Peace is a dream to most.

It hides behind thick walls of delusion,
as figments set for the starving.

We serve up empty promises with the best of intentions.
Malnourished, we'll consume each one.

How can we see through these worlds of illusion?
To know the pieces placed were never our own.

How can we hold to the shifting grounds
and capture truths amorphous state?

To find redemption on this treacherous voyage,
we must never forget to breath.
