‘A loose cannon’ said one,
but is it wrong to be full of fun?
Her brave campaign against the mine
convinced the world that they must sign
Delighted by infectious mirth
she thrilled us all with Princely births
The palace echoed to joyous glee
A future King the world will see
One sad day as summer passed
found madness in an underpass.
It was her end O’ wretched fate
corrupt pursuers could not wait.
Our tears that fell all made a stream
formed a river - burst a dream.
Her presence sadly touched each heart
now never will our Princess part.
