From days I cannot count,
To years of growing grey.
When all my companions rout,
In this darkness I must stay.

Oh, what times we know
When we long that sweet release from pain.
For cooling flakes of snow- -
And the calming showers of rain
...

Is love a word or is it a sound?
And can it be easily found? - -
Those who live by the creed: “For love’s sake! ”-
Is it worth the chances they take?
