Wynona Gibson gibson Poems

What a void within my life
Without a garden be,
A place to sit and contemplate,
Refreshing mind, refreshing me.
...

The bells, I hear the bells
So faintly ringing, the sounds so far beyond,
My eyes look out, looking out searching,
Scanning into the vague horizon.
...

Is that you when I feel the caress of the soft breeze?
As it drifts so quietly, so softly through the willow trees.
Is it you when the soft rain drops run down my cheek
Like a tear drop that escaped the eyes so meek.

Fragrance Of My Gardens.

What a void within my life
Without a garden be,
A place to sit and contemplate,
Refreshing mind, refreshing me.

To see the dew upon the rose,
Listening to the humming of the bee,
Cannot imagine life without
This wonderment to see.

The music played within my soul,
A cantata drifting soft and sweet,
An edifice constructed within the mind,
Such visual pleasures ever to keep.

A garden where one wonders,
A voyager intruding on terrain,
Made welcome by the fragrant smells
Of misty mornings and passing rain.

Without a garden life would be,
So void of simple pleasure,
I wonder alone in my garden
Storing in mind this visual treasure
