Impunity

I love you like my wife, and yet you
are not my wife,
I love you like my best friend, and yet you are not my best friend.


I wish for suicide when you are near,
Not because I love you,
But because you don't love me.

Why is it hard to love and not be
Loved by those whom thee
Did love.

I see your smile there, and yet,
It is not directed towards me.
Why oh why, did the shadows cry?
When I passed by.
