Too Perfect

Too Perfect
I can't believe I was ever jealous of you,
Your the girl with the perfect plaits,
The never creased uniform,
Your beautiful,
But I'm the only one that seems to notice,
You always smile but never grin.

Every other girl in the class is jealous of you-
But your too perfect to have friends,
You always have been.
I used to think you were a princess in disguise,
Ha, some princess.
But what I saw, it's the kind of thing you would never laugh about.

You were more of a mystery girl than anything,
Nobody knew where you lived,
Or anything like that.
One day I was early to school,
You were walking by early as usual.
You tripped-
Then there was a whacking sound over and over,
You tried to crawl away from your mum,
Tears streaming down your face,
But she wouldn't let go of you.

You came back to school-
An hour later, the first time you'd ever been late,
Nobody knew why except me,
Your socks had been replaced by perfect white ones-
Your face scrubbed red raw,
Not a tear in sight.

You looked at me scared all day,
You knew I'd seen what had happened.
You must have thought I'd tell a teacher,
Call the police.
But no,
If you want to stay the perfect girl,
You can.

Looks can be deciteful,
Now I know what it means.....
