With rest misplaced, and
peace missing too,
dreams lie floating on the restless surfs,
hoping for a glance of mercy;
despite Your blessings countless
You guided me, and held me strong
I wonder why then I stay at a loss
God!
you help me fight back the evil that tempts
the evil that lasts with me
as a constant though unwanted companion
God!
empower me
despite swimming skilfully
the waters threaten and victimize me
waves and ripples know me not
what is this sense of alienation?
You have given me a deep sight
bless me with an insight too
God!
enrich me
despite keeping a stern eye
on my mistakes
serious losses occur
sometimes reparable, sometimes irreparable
God!
guide me, bless me, forgive me
It is really an arresting write Shahzia Ma'am. When we feel alienated from people, family friends and their love, we collapse down and lie at the feet of God. We feel the extreme discomort of lonliness, and the strange behaviour of the known waters. But God has always another perception towards our life. A better perception. He may be wants you to discover the deep insight within you, to believe yourself, that you can move forward with your life without the help of anyone but just with His blessings. He may want you to swim through the highest tides and cut through the complexities of life, on your own. He may want you to think good about yourself, and want you to appreciate the utmost quality you possess, pure unconditional love towards all. When you no more need a constant companion, he'll then open a door and will answer you, and guide you. And that is when he will be proud about you and will become your companion. All the best! a good write ending with a lovely prayer. GOD will hear if you believe.

Two words.. Saying all. God. And Please. A poem from the depth of your heart. It occurs as 'jawar bhata'. I felt it, because otherwise the title of the poem would not be 'God'. I think, in strong feelings you just have no other title to choose. Best wishes aapi.
A fervent cry to God to lead through the rough water of life. The fear, despite the many benevolence of God, that she might still falter; haunts the poet.A sense of submission to God pervades the whole poem.
God is giving....forgiving.... and empowering. It is just a matter of time. Lovely poem
