Hidden in Ashes

You ignored me many times,
As if,
I am a stranger to you,
When you look at me,
In the crowds of a gathering,
You don't smile,
And you prefer to sit at,
A place,
Quiet far from me,
When I talk to you,
You utter,
Just two or three words,
When you see me on a road,
You don't wave your hands,
When we discuss politics,
You don't oppose me,
Your silence is painful,
But I take it as a color,
Of the lovely rainbow,
That is beauty of friendship.

I am not annoyed,
My friend,
I know there is something,
In me, yes in me,
That has annoyed you,
But that something,
Is annoying me,
I'll not ask you,
I know the art,
Of studying myself,
My conscience,
Is self-accountable,
I am a human being,
What so if I commit,
Something wrong,
I am not aware with.

But I assure you dear,
A day will come,
When my conscience will send,
A message to me,
Being aware of my guilt,
I shall mend it at once,
And I'll come to you,
And embrace you dear,
And your lovely smile,
Will blossom the flowers,
Of a dormant friendship,
Buried alive in ashes,
Still hot with passion,
The twinkling sparks,
Like hidden stars,
In the thick dense clouds,
Facing suffocation,
Still alive!

But before any message from my conscience, he called on me yesterday, and embraced me. This poem is for satisfaction of his ego, informing him that I was also planning to do it.

Fantastic poem. True friendship will never get broken forever. It will remain alive in heart. Sometimes misunderstandings can happen but this a phase of life. Inner conscience will never allow, to let go off the friendship.
I loved reading each lines. (Report) Reply

So the grey clouds have drifted away and the sky is once more cerulean blue! The smouldering fire of friendship has strengthened into bright flames! Great write! (Report) Reply

The apparent meaning of this poem is activation of a dormant friendship, but it seems to me the real meaning of this poem is too far beyond the frontiers of imagination. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
