Invited Calamities Poem by Akhtar Jawad

Invited Calamities

Rating: 5.0

When man cried and prayed.
O beneficent and merciful God!
You are killing us in large numbers.
Why it's so?
Enter with us O God!
Let us know why we are being killed,
sometimes in earthquakes,
sometimes in in deadly hurricanes.
He found God is already in him,
and what he thinks in that moment
when he manages to feel Him
he gets a reply from God.
And what the man thought?
He committed many sins
every time God forgave him,
but when he started killing his brother men,
God warned him several times.
but he could not improve his behavior!
The quantum of warnings went on increasing.
Tsunamis and earthquakes became intense.
Alas! Man is yet to improve his behavior! !

Man's increasing cruelty and violence can be ascribed to the increase in the natural calamities! We hear of mass casualty these days either through war or natural disasters! However we feel that danger looms large and it can fall on us anytime! A blunt truth poetically stated!

Men is to improve his behaviour. He has to nurture the nature and to save her from destroying. He has to stop killing men and sin. Dear Akhtar sir, you have nicely and astutely inscribed this here. I quote.. . God warned him several times. but he could not improve his behavior! The quantum of warnings went on increasing. Tsunamis and earthquakes became intense. Alas!
