The curse of aging
================
Wrinkled skin, weak bones
Weary body with a weak heart,
Eyes are with hazy visions
Muscles do not work.
Old age is putting it's paws
With a thick blanket of winter,
Fairy days are faded now
With a deterrent future.
Sun sets in the horizon
Making the sky so dark,
Ocean is roaring so louder now
As if it's haunting me.
Lying alone in the deadly dark night
Within stiff four walls
Frightening futures are knocking at the door
With their dreadful teeth and nails.
Body, mind, ability and reach
Nothing is in favor now,
Still the ailing mind greedily waits
With so many intense desires ! ! !

Body, mind, ability and reach Nothing is in favor now, Still the ailing mind greedily waits With so many intense desires! ! ! A lovely write.
One of the bitter truths of life very well expressed in finely woven words.....Amitavaji......indeed a great piece
Once again a fantastic write. Beautiful way you have painted the picture of aging.. Very true said, desires never dies, it's always there even if one is suffering in old age. Loved the way you presented it.
endless hopes and desires that keeps us going ispite og feeble heart beats......every human has to reach his or her dusky winter yet the setting sky heralds the surety of a new day somewhere beyond the horizon in some other hemisphere.....thnx for sharing
Beautiful poem. there are days when old age weighs heavily and then there are days when young at heart days float like feather. enjoyed your poem.
Strong imagery has made this poem a beautiful one.Aging is certainly the worst thing in our life. But, it is inevitable. We have to accept this. And, old age sets before us the acid test of life.Undoubtedly a nice poem.
Wow! Excellent poem! Rhythm is flowing perfectly, Amitava. Exceptional imagery, portraying aging so accurately. And yes we have so many desires even though we are growing older, they never leave us. Thank you, Amitava. RoseAnn
