Rishabh Bidya Poems

It was a beautiful morning,
of a very fine day,
but I couldn't hear a thing,
of what my friends would say!
...

There is a charm pulling me,
I'm sure but I can't tell,
Is it my burning desire
or is it your beauty's spell?
...

I was asked what would you do
if you'll be richest man on earth
and I thought I won't do a thing
just rest in luxury and mirth.
...

What if one fine day,
you know you can fly?
I'll watch you from my terrace,
I'll see you passing by.
...

Perhaps time will move on,
She'll be a memory someday.
I've hated trying to forget her,
and she has tried moving away.
...

Life seemed to be so good
when we were small,
when someone was always there
every time we would fall.
...

I saw towards the horizon
evening's amber sun shone,
and in a corner of the garden
I saw a girl sitting alone.
...

A prayer came in my heart
for goodwill to all men.
Thought of a chime provoked me
to begin writing from my pen.
...

Forget the days that passed by,
for off has went December.
Let's feast and rejoice,
we've had an year to remember.

Beauty Waits For None

It was a beautiful morning,
of a very fine day,
but I couldn't hear a thing,
of what my friends would say!

A few feet away in a corner,
relentlessly I'd stared,
for I saw a bewitching beauty,
who had left me ensnared!

However hard I tried to control,
once again I looked there,
and I can't explain the joy,
as I watched her talk unaware.

Propriety dawned on me,
and so I turned my eyes away.
And I felt myself in a turmoil,
as my thoughts went astray.

I turned back only to realize,
that she was now gone,
and I felt this was very unfair,
that her name I'd never known.

She'd disappeared before I could blink,
and I couldn't help but think,
What was it that made me spur?
It was just a sight of her.

If only beauty wasn't so rare,
of a smiling princess with silky hair,
of someone soother than autumn breeze,
perhaps my heart would then have peace.

I knew disappointment and I felt pain,
and so I questioned myself again -
Why couldn't she be my 'someone'?
Why could beauty wait for none?
