This friendship wasn't meant to be
Because of your lies you made me believe
This bond of friends is now broken
So we tear apart and leave.
...

Friends
Are the greatest joy of life.
The light
That flares inside of me day and night.
...

We're crammed backstage in dressing rooms
The curtain will rise very soon
The show starts at and hour past noon
In our heads we're humming Nutcracker tunes
...

I fear that you'll be gone one day
That you'll leave me alone
I fear that you'll just wash away
And on my life will drone
...

I can't just stand here and watch everything happen
I can't just stay motionless when I'm surrounded
I can't fly free in the night when I want to most
I can't escape this harsh, cruel world in which I'm trapped

Broken

This friendship wasn't meant to be
Because of your lies you made me believe
This bond of friends is now broken
So we tear apart and leave.

As I watch you turn away
Tears slowly start to fall.
And I wonder
Did I do anything, anything at all?

Long ago, it seems like a past life
I sat on Grandma's lap and she began to recite:
'Listen child. Life is life, it will never change.
The light of friendship will always ignite.

When friends break apart
It means that you been taken
By lies, by secrets, by mistreats
The friendship was mistaken.'
