Think it was yesterday when I was free
When I had a dream of what I wanted to be
Time has savored the memories thus far
Now will it turn the tide onto me?
The books lie, they seldom suffice
The plot that builds, and burns the fire
Which the waves could never turn out
It's the misery of this social attire
Moments to look for and to survive
Just when it all ends will it be goodbye?
When the rivers flood and the tides turn
When the battles fought and the battles won
When the ether rises in the cloudy sky
It will be dawn and then I ll fly
