Ploy Poem by Abhishek Srivastava

Ploy

What shimmers may not be lasting
sometimes even the sight is distorting
to be at the crossroads and wonder
to take the hard path or a wishful surrender
the choices are abound
and reasons unsound
the pain is like a mirage in the passage of joy
destiny is the alibi of reason's ploy
sometimes a moment of silence is all it takes
to know the bearings
sometimes even a lifetime is not enough
to know its meaning
