I break through the soil and climb still higher above the foliage
A constant struggle to impress, be beautiful like you
You seem to always attract the rain, yet the sun forever shines upon you
I want to free myself from the drought, the sun's so bright it blinds me

This is actually a song i wrote about losing my best friend to a drink driving accident. It's far from perfect but i cannot bring myself to change anything as this was my first serious attempt at writing and is very important to me.
