Cheese

Now Old Ben Gunn said that he misses
more than love and mother's kisses.
More than ale and good French Wine,
Cheese – here his thoughts agree with mine.

Toasted, grilled, sliced or diced
Sandwiched, sprinkled, all is nice.
Tasty, mild or filled with fruit.
Tangy, Nutty – now that's beaut.

Camembert, cheddar, Cheshire too,
Choices galore, what can I do.
Do I want it square or drum?
Either way, good for the tum.

Gorgonzola – not so hot.
Ricotta, Fetta -I'd rather not.
Parmesan – that's great on pasta,
Mozzarella sticks like plaster.

Cantal, Rancal, the list goes on.
Monteray Jack quickly gone.
Aussie cheeses, English, Kiwi,
Lots of good Dutch cheese will fill me.

As a kid I said yes please
For dinner, lots of bread and cheese.
As a young man, plowman's lunch,
Then I hung out with a trendy bunch.

French for cheesy connoisseurs.
German that will last for years.
And the cheese that makes me sing
Is on the buns at Burger King.

I like cheese with good red wine.
on crackers it tastes mighty fine.
Yet, dear folks what I like most
Cheese melted, hot on buttered toast.
