What power it must contain,
Its interior design, intelligent and graceful.
Filled with crescent love for many, many years,
Adapted to the dark by emitting omnipotent light,

The sound of fragile intensity
Peaceful yet endearing,
Triumphant yet not reaching full passion,
The absolute unsurety of all that is unknown,

The Moon Is Yours.

What power it must contain,
Its interior design, intelligent and graceful.
Filled with crescent love for many, many years,
Adapted to the dark by emitting omnipotent light,
Alike with phosphorous in its ways,
The thermochromic light shines,
Has many abilities, hope is one,
The deafening silence is tremendous,
Only blocked by a wolfs defiant howl,
Fell from the pack to fend for itself,
With only courage to protect him from relentless predators who possess no feeling,
Though the sun dominates the sky,
The moons essence threatens it,
Just like noughts and crosses.
Immortality like no man has ever seen,
People claim to have seen faces on it,
Astronauts from the unknown,
Though the moon itself has a face,
Containing no race or gender,
Not hypocritical, prejudice or stereotypical
Unlike the world we live in today.
From communist Korea to capitalist America,
It shines for all to see,
It’s been through world wars,
Experienced the good times and the bad,
Like an unknown force, omniscient and kind,
Without it, we would live in a pitch black world,
Feeling blind, though seeing everything clearly,
It’s seen you grow from a boy to a man,
With no judgement passing its lips,
It has no beginning middle or end,
Just a bright light bringing me closer to you,
The moon is yours and all that’s in it,
And more, you’ll be a man, my son.
