Friends maybe a few,
A friend is one who knows me

Before I say goodbye,
Who am I?
When I see me in an old picture I see someone else.
Even the eyes in which my memories are viewed from are not that of my own.

They saw a picture of perfection but they couldn't see the cracks
They saw the smile to which they smiled back
So tall, beautiful, pleasing to see
They saw the smile but they couldn't see me

Don't let me show ugliness
Don't let me show evilness
Don't let me ever show hate,
Help me be kind, Clever, a blessing

When I look into your eyes
I know your thoughts I've been in your inner sanctuary opened your journals and read it's poems
I've met your creator and saw his paint brushes
I looked deeper, seeing the void where your fears lie smothered under the bosom of your dreams.
