Moving Onward

August aspirations.
gone.
lifeless.
unseasoned and tasteless.
dead to me, fallen and
perished are the
failed attempts
catching fire;
failed efforts
to find a deep desire.
a whole month of
misery, spent.
spent in wasteful worries
and foolish follies.
I was dead. dead for awhile,
lost with out doubt
searching for God...
I pray for September
to turn things about.

Can I Say?

May you have all the love and joy you deserve
Even though you held love from me in reserve.
I am happy you have found your other part
Even if it hurt someone else’s heart.
You have such a smile full of her
That I no longer think of what we were.
I am happy we were not meant to last
It was over fast and I do not dwell much on the past.
So can I say that I am happy you have her and not I?
