Amy Greathead Poems

Rain is falling all around,
Rain is falling to the ground.
Sitting here at my window.
Watching and listening to the rain fall down.
...

Day dreams and nightmares in many shapes.
Eyes and smiles without a face.
I'm pulling my hair right out of my head!
Dreaming dreams without being in bed.

Rain Storm

Rain is falling all around,
Rain is falling to the ground.
Sitting here at my window.
Watching and listening to the rain fall down.
Everything is blue and wet,
But the storm isn't over yet.
Lightning dances across the sky.
Watching the black clouds way up high.
A clap of thunder,
The pounding of hail.
The sky is so dark and pale.
I pull my blanket closer around me,
For the eye of the storm now surrounds me.
The pounding stops and the clouds roll away.
The rain is gone for to day.
Out comes the sun to say hello,
And then there is a beautiful rainbow.
