Polka-Dotted Penguins And Heart Shaped Clouds Poem by Amy Greathead

Polka-Dotted Penguins And Heart Shaped Clouds

Day dreams and nightmares in many shapes.
Eyes and smiles without a face.
I'm pulling my hair right out of my head!
Dreaming dreams without being in bed.
Not knowing fact from fiction,
I can't tell truth from a lie.
Seeing things I know aren't real.

Purple penguins with gray polka-dots.
Flying with heart shaped clouds in the sky.
Hoods with no heads and hearts with no love.
Cereal for dinner and blank tv screens.
It might be a dream, but it seems so real...
