Ode To Gymnastics

My motor is gymnastics
It is my reason to wake up
My reason to get through the day
And feel nothing can go wrong
When I do gymnastics I am immortal
I disconnect from the world
I forget about my problems

Gymnastics seeks perfection
It makes you fly like a bird

Gymnastics is a friend
That can humiliate you
That can make you feel frustrated
That makes you angry with yourself
And feel physical pain
But it´s a friend you can´t leave

Gymnastics is an addiction
That makes you feel electricity
In all your body

Gymnastics is a life style

Gymnastics is a teacher
You learn life lessons
You learn responsibility
You learn discipline

Gymnastics is elegance
It is made of precision and complexity

Wanting to win is everything
Because
The best one does not win
The one that best competes does

Some days you are on top of the world
But others you are in hell

Gymnastics is teamwork
And I compete with myself


If you are once a gymnast
